  Most people know the National Model United Nations (NMUN) as one of the biggest and best MUN conferences in the world. Students get together for  National Model United Nations  to act out how the UN works. They are from different countries and are debating problems that affect everyone. Students study their country, write resolutions, negotiate with peers, and vote on solutions. As in real UN diplomatic procedures, delegates must stay in character while speaking for their country's policies and interests.

Model United Nations (MUN) is an educational simulation in which students role-play as diplomats representing different countries in United Nations committees. It is designed to help young people understand international relations, global issues, and the working of the United Nations while developing important life skills such as public speaking, research, negotiation, and critical thinking. In an MUN conference, each participant is assigned a country and a committee, such as the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Security Council (UNSC), World Health Organization (WHO), or United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Students research their assigned country’s foreign policies, national interests, and stance on the agenda topics. During the conference, delegates debate issues, deliver speeches, negotiate with other countries, and work together to draft resolutions that propose solutions to global problems.
