Model United Nations (MUN) is an educational simulation in which students role-play as diplomats representing different countries in United Nations committees. It is designed to help young people understand international relations, global issues, and the working of the United Nations while developing important life skills such as public speaking, research, negotiation, and critical thinking. In an MUN conference, each participant is assigned a country and a committee, such as the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Security Council (UNSC), World Health Organization (WHO), or United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).
